The Left Bank of Bordeaux is one of the world’s most famous wine-producing regions, located west of the Gironde Estuary and the Garonne River in southwestern France. These soils retain heat and help the late-ripening grape achieve optimal maturity. Cabernet Sauvignon is usually blended with Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, and occasionally Malbec to create wines of remarkable balance and complexity.
